playing with rub-ons

I was very much impressed by the rub-on-art I had seen from some of you so I went through my stash and wanted to try my luck as well. But it did not work out the way I wanted it, nevertheless I do like that card

stamps I used are from de stempelwinkel/Non Sequitur, rub-ons and washi tape.

a new Challenge at LOC: Two or more designer papers

Sponsored by I made a tag. I had some inspiritation problems this time - guess I was not really in the mood for dark, creepy and skulls - so I decided to make it more colourful

here´s my interpretation of the skull image we were given:

Loooking outside I needed something happy. Not being in a very stamping mood I figured I was in a very collagy mood and so I made this journaling page with crowabout and a zetty stamp -  just having fun.

we all can´t be princesses, someone has to bow as I go by

I found an online class FACEcinating girls, and how practical that there were some clear stamps included for the difficult parts as eyes, least for me
I am unable to paint two similar sized eyes,  which unfortunately just does not look very well in one face or too much alike some surrealists as Picasso.

So here´s my first try with the stamps  - and of course some others stamps had to be used as well (some of my handcarved, de Stempelwinkel for the moth and prima)

might need some more practising, but no one is born master :)

Have a great Sunday, XX

When I opened my post box today I found a stampinton magazine in it. As I had not ordered it ( I prefer to "work" for it instead of buying it) I went through it and here´s what I found

I had completly forgotten about my junior vampire -  so what a surprise

This one you have already seen - guess I had been too impatient.

I wanted to try out my face stencil I recently got but never had neither the time nor the muse to use.
I started the background once again with my handcarved stamps and then tried my luck - and for a 1st time I do not think it was too bad. Watching other artists, colouring faces in minutes, I really wanted to try it - thanks there was at least that face stencil to help me out with the proportions :) And of course, I needed more than 5 minutes or less. And colouring a face with acrylics was another challange for me - I rather do aquarell.....

You might not be able to read the quote very well so here it is in a more readable way:

Don´t let the thoughts that come from your mind get in the way of the feelings that come from your heart.

The digital image of the trees is from crowabout Studio B.

a new challange at scrappy frog with free choice

At we have a new challange with a free choice theme, so I really do hope to see many of you there.
I choose to play with my new toys and that´s what I did

The guy is from the new stamp plates of de Stempelwinkel (the EKG as well even though it´s an older stamp of de Stempelwinkel but a new one for me :)  ), phrase by Tim Holtz and the tiny squares are from paperartsy.
I recycled the left-over paper of the watch die (having used the watch for something else) and I really did like the idea.
Have a great day XX

There´s something else I want to show you - a journaling page with my own sortiment of handcarved stamps - that´s really addictive.

And I have realized that health is one of the things we take for granted until they are no longer granted.
I have to check-in tonight my daugher to the children hospital again to get the last checks next week. I only can hope they finally have found a reason for her fiebre and constant illnesses.
Have a great Sunday and don´t forget to be thankful :)
